About us

Mediscan was formed as a cooperative of five Perth based HTMA practising doctors and three Perth practising pharmacists in 2006.

Their aim was to service the HTMA (Hair Test Mineral Analyses) requirements for Western Australian practitioners.

In those days the turnaround time for a sample was almost three weeks (they were done overseas). The group reduced that turnaround time to 3-7 days by forming a relationship with the Centre for Forensic Science, at that time based on the University of WA.

Mediscan have now handled almost 55,000 hair tests.
